A good Late 19th Century Antique Victorian Channel Islands Copper Guernsey Milk Can and Cover of Pint capacity, the base stamped with the Maker's Mark of P.W. KIMBER, JEWELLER, GUERNSEY, whose name is perpetuated in the awarding of the P.W. KIMBER CUPS for the singing of Lieder for All Voices Aged 18 and Over at the annual Guernsey Eisteddfod. The distinctive and attractive shape of these Channel Island Milk Cans, which were made in graduated sets, has now made them highly collectable. This piece, although as usual, a little dented through normal usage, is nevertheless a good, genuine example of the genre.
