A good Mid 19th Century Antique English Victorian Iron Bound Coopered Oak Cider Costrel of approximately three pint capacity. These typically were carried out into the fields by farmworkers to complement their midday repast and hung from the belt whilst working. This example stamped with the initials JG, most probably those of the erstwhile owner.
