A most attractive Mid 19th Century Antique English Victorian Papier-mâché Ladies Writing Slope / Casket of unusually large size, retaining it's original hinges, escutcheon, lock and key, together with it's superb, original, hand painted decoration. The base covered in a green, hessian-like material, possibly of later date, and perhaps obscuring any Maker's Mark.
