A Mid 19th Century Antique English Victorian Prattware Pot Lid, "The Farriers", a large sized lid, { with old chip to edge at left hand side }, the image adapted from Wouvermann's picture, "The Smithy". Catalogued as No. 324 in Ball's A.C.C. Price Guide, where it is stated that Wouvermann's printed signature may be seen at bottom left, together with that of Jesse Austin on the right. These cannot be seen here, but are most likely present, although hidden, beneath the later ebonised frame.
