A good, typically sparsely coloured, Mid 19th Century Antique English Victorian Staffordshire Pottery Spill Vase Group of "Robert Burns and Highland Mary" ~ P H47 ~ H 62, standing, on a gilt lined base with the title, "Burns and his Mary", on a raised gilt plaque. Burns with his left arm around Mary's shoulder, his right hand by his side holding a plumed hat, wearing a jacket, scarf, kilt and stockings. Mary holding a book in her right hand, her left by her side, wearing a plumed hat and long dress. There are sheaves of corn to her left and on the base.
