A most attractive Late 19th Century Antique English Victorian Staffordshire Pottery "Hen on Nest" Tureen and Cover, H 2828, found more often than not in the cottage kitchen being used for storing eggs than for serving soup or other dishes. Now hard to find in undamaged condition, these delightful creatures display well on country pieces such as an oak or pine dresser.
