A most attractive and well coloured Mid 19th Century Antique English Victorian Staffordshire Pottery Watch-Holder Figure Group, "The Three Graces" ~ H 1795, the largest of three examples presently available. Here represented as three women, who may be regarded either as Beauty, Charm and Joy, as in the original Ancient Greek version, or, as is more likely, as Victorian representations of Faith, Hope and Charity. Each is dressed in bodice, long skirt and scarf, two standing and one kneeling, their hands supporting the watch-holder.
