A fine and scarce Mid 19th Century Antique English Victorian Staffordshire Pottery Royal Portrait Figure of Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, Consort of Queen Victoria. Standing, with his right hand resting on his hip, his left to his side holding a sword, wearing an ermine edged cloak, tunic with epaulettes, gloves and trousers, and a sash around his waist. Rarely seen today, this particular model, together with it's Pair, Queen Victoria, { Stock Ref. AVSRPFQV434 }, was attributed, somewhat tentatively, by P.D. Gordon Pugh, in his classic work, "Staffordshire Portrait Figures of the Victorian Era", { Fig. 9, Plate 7, Page A120 }, to the Modeller and Manufacturer, H. Bentley of Hanley, Staffordshire. Lovely colours, museum quality professional restoration to left hand and sword. A rare opportunity to purchase this scarce and important pair of figures.
