Description

A good Mid 19th Century Antique English Victorian Staffordshire Pottery Royal Portrait Figure of Queen Victoria, standing, her right arm across her waist, her left to her side, wearing a crown, ermine edged cloak, bodice and full length skirt, a sash across her chest. Untitled, with a simple gilt line around the base. Harding, in "Victorian Staffordshire Figures 1835 - 75", suggests that only the smaller, 22.25 cm. / 8.75 inch version of this figure, { which we are also able presently to offer ex stock, Ref. AVSRPFQVP32H427 }, illustrated by Pugh in his "Staffordshire Portrait Figures of the Victorian Era", { Fig. 32, Plate 15, Page A124 }, is found untitled. This, being the larger, 27.90 cm. / 11.00 inch version, clearly indicates that this is not so.

Height ~ 27.90 cm. / 11.00 inches ~ Width ~ 11.40 cm. / 4.50 inches ~ Depth ~ 10.10 cm. / 4.00 inches ~ Year ~ Circa 1845.
