A fine and scarce Mid 19th Century Antique English Victorian Staffordshire Pottery Royal Portrait Figure, "Queen Victoria" ~ H 434. Standing, both arms falling to her sides, wearing a crown, ermine edged cloak, bodice, full length skirt, and a sash across her chest. Rarely seen today, this particular model, together with it's Pair, "Prince Albert ~ H 433, { Stock Ref. AVSRPFPAH433 }, was attributed, somewhat tentatively, by P.D. Gordon Pugh, in his classic work, "Victorian Portrait Figures of the Victorian Era", { Fig. 8, Plate 7, Page A120 }, to the Modeller and Manufacturer H. Bentley of Hanley, Staffordshire. A rare opportunity to purchase this scarce and important pair of figures.
