A good Early 20th Century Vintage English Brass Toasting Fork, the finial in the form of the "Prince of Wales Feathers". For some twenty five years, from his investiture at Caernarfon in July 1911, until his abdication in December 1936, The Prince of Wales, subsequently to reign briefly from January to December 1936 as King Edward VIII, was a hugely popular figure throughout British society. This brass toasting fork, bearing his device, and typical of such as would then have been found in every home, would have hung by the fireside ready for everyday use.
