A very fine example of this large and imposing Mid 20th Century Vintage Royal Doulton Bone China Character Figure, "The Moor" ~ HN 1657, offered here in perfect condition, free of chips, cracks or restoration. Designed by Royal Doulton Art Director, Charles J. Noke, and issued between 1934 and 1949, this lovely piece is hollow fired and bears within the body, the Maker's Ducal Crown mark of the period, together with title in large, gilt, Old English script.
