This lovely Mid 20th Century First Year of Issue Vintage Royal Doulton English Porcelain Figurine, "Marguerite" ~ HN 1930, decorated in a blue and purple palette, was designed by leading Doulton artist Leslie Harradine, and was issued from 1940 to 1959. Beautifully modelled and well coloured, the base fully marked in green with the printed Royal Doulton backstamp of the period, together with the numeral 13, indicating that this figurine was produced in 1940, the first year of issue, in green script, "Marguerite", HN 1930, indistinct impressed Model Number, Whitley Collection paper label, which suggests that this lady has enjoyed a transatlantic voyage, and in black, the Painter's Monogram JCB, unidentified, but listed as working at Doulton Circa 1930.
