This lovely Early 20th Century Vintage Royal Doulton English Porcelain Figurine, "The Gossips" ~ HN 1426 is date coded for 1931, thus making it one of the earliest examples of this model to emerge successfully from the kiln. Designed by leading Doulton artist Leslie Harradine, and issued from 1930 to 1949, this beautiful figurine is most attractively decorated in soft tones of turquoise and pink. The base with Royal Doulton backstamp for the period { Godden Mark No. 1333 }, Date Code 4 for 1931, Title, "The Gossips"., Rd.No.757755, and Painter's monogram RB, all this in black, plus, in red script, "The Gossips" HN.1426., Potted by Doulton &. Co.
